I was getting this affect more frequently to the tune of 3 to 4 times a week over the  last month. The screen would remain dark even though the buttons would light up. The Verizon "experts" eventually threw up their hands and sent me a replacement which, for the moment, is still functioning properly. Has anyone else had this problem? I had a version of SK Tools on the 1st phone and kept a regular cleaning regimen in place but that did not seem to affect the crashes.

This actually has been reported on TP2 also, it seems that the HTC devices has a issue waking up from unit being suspended.... I think this is a power managment issue with 6.5 because I have the same issue with my Imagio but my way of resolving this was to disable the option under power settings that says "Turn off deviice if not used for" but leave the Backlight set to turn backlight off... Once I did this I havent seen this issue any more. Give it a try hopefully it works well for you also.

Oh yeah, I map one of front buttons to be able to turn backlight off when pressed.
Try this application here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=569473

Change is good and customizing is better, but always remember that backing up should still be the first golden rule...
