How do I get the Alarm Clock to repeat until I dismiss it when the phone is locked?

or How do I stop the phone from automatically locking so the Alarm clock will ring until I dismiss it?

The alarm is set to repeat the sound and it will repeat the sound every 20 sec. but not when the phone is locked. This seems to defeat the purpose of the alarm clock when the phone automatically locks itself.

I think the only way around this would be to install G-alarm or some kind of alarm program

I don't like the alarm either, it's too hard to turn off when your half asleep. Does any one know where to find more alarm programs that will work, and is easy to use?

The only way I have been able to figure out how to get the alarm to keep going until I dismiss it is to disable the option to "turn off the device if not used for"; (settings>all settings>system>power>advanced>...)

Unfortunately, this means the device does not turn off all night. It goes to the backlight but it still uses power faster.
