When not using HTC's interface, the WM 6.5 interface has a pictures link and gives some example pictures from the internal storage.

Is it possible to change this default folder to a location on the storage card?

Just open the album application and select folder that you want to view in TF3D and the click left menu button and select set album as favorites

Change is good and customizing is better, but always remember that backing up should still be the first golden rule...

That may change it for HTC's UI but it is not a system change. So when not using HTC's interface, the WM interface still checks the internal pictures folder.

Sorry missed the part about without TF3D....

Try changing this registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Pictures\Camera\OEM\PictureLocation\External\PLACE DRECTORY YOU WANT HERE

and remove Internal directory...

If this dont work, try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=348421

What software do you recommend for editing the registry?

I always use Resco Registry Plugin for Resco Explorer, but any registry editor is fine.... A number of users use PHM Registry Editor if you are looking for a free one...

You can get PHM Registry Editor here... http://freewareppc.com/utilities/phmregistryeditor.shtml
