All credit goes to the cloppy at XDA-developers

-------------------------------------------
REMOVING THE TV ICON AND STOPPING THE SERVICE
-------------------------------------------

I used PHM regedit for this process. All you really need is a registry editor and something that can view the services. Or if you know how to disable services through the registry you can do that too. i did the following steps and did a soft reset and the TV icon was gone from the bar!

Remove via registry editor
HKLM\Services\MFLORSSI

Just delete the whole folder

Then Soft Reboot and its gone!

I didnt delete any files or services yet before i delete files ill have to make a backup.

For others without experience in Registry Editing, HKLM stands for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

This registry tweak worked great by the way. That stupid icon is no longer on my phone.

I would try to download phm regedit and try it with that. Or if you already have total commander i think there is a registry plugin that will let you make this change. as for me I use Resco Registy Editor to do it.

Shocked Wow, it's gone . . . what have I got to complain about anymore? BTW, I used "SKTools" and after a bit of searching about up came the folder (spoken of in an earlier post) and poof, now its gone.
THANKS.
